XI MUESTRA de HUMOR SOCIAL - Alicante 2011 -

This past Thursday May 12, opened at the University of Alicante the sample XI Social mood, which this year was the theme of "Politics and politicians". A sample years is already a reference in the panorama of humor.
The exhibition will be open in Room Aifos (Europe Square Campus) until May 24, 2011.

The two artists (and FERNANDO JOSÉ PUIG LANZÓN PINK), which have been awarded the Notary of HUMOR, at the time of delivery thereof.

JOSÉ LANZÓN PIERA : Among veterans of the Valencian School artists still active, is José Lanzón Piera. Sandeel was born in Valencia in 1930 and, since childhood, was interested drawing, but always on his own. A few years on the job starts and is 16 when contact with Editorial Valenciana, you accept and pay for your first job. Over the years, ended up doing to this publisher's popular series The pen that for a long time, appeared in the journal Pumby.
In Louie gave life to his character Don Olympico Marathon. In 1954 he went to work in Advertising Lanza, where he gained experience. In 1960 and commissioned by Quesada, performs work for the Maga editorial published in the magazine Black Panther and Red Arrow. Apart from drawing to France, so did the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and Italy. From 1965 until well into the 70, Lanzon, like many other Valencian artists collaborated with the English agency Bardon and Editorial Art Fleetway Publications, developed episodes of war and romance, as opposed to the humor with which he lavished on local publishers.
Fernando Puig Rosado : Cartoonist born Don Benito (Badajoz) in 1931, but lived in Alicante from early childhood. Cartoonist, painter and illustrator after studying medicine decides to work as an illustrator and set in France. Public drawings in Switzerland, England and Spain, where he works in Quail, Pueblo, Don José, Epoch, Cambio 16 and El Pais Semanal, among others, and, abroad, in publications such as Marie-Claire , Le Canard Enchaîné or Le Nouvel Observateur . With Jean-Pierre Bonnot Desclozeaux and founded in Avignon, in 1967, the Humane Society of Humor and the 1993 European Association for cartoonists (UBU). Puig Rosado has received awards including the Grand Prize of Black Humor in Grandville (Paris) in 1976, the Grand Prize at the International Humor of Newspaper Comics and Humor de Sant Just-the-Martel in 2000 and Mingione Award given by the newspaper ABC , a drawing published in Time (2000).
